He was born at Baphnum, Prey Veng . His mother was a farmer, which is a vendor currently. His father was a teacher at a primary school. In 1993, He moved to live in Neak Loeung because there had been a robbery at his homeland - Pong Puos. Later, he studied at Udom Samakum Primary School at Neak Loeung. He passed grade 9 at 1999 and grade 12 at 2005. He started teachinging English in 1999. In 2007, he became a teacher of English at Peam Chor High School. He got married at 2011.
